NIGHT SLEEP TECHNOLOGIST - Denver Metropolitan Area

We periodically have openings for a  Registered Polysomnographic Technologist or RPSGT eligible technologist, for overnight testing work for the Sleep Alertness-Disorder Center, a 3 bedroom sleep center, established in 1994 in Aurora CO. SUPPORT GROUP MEETINGS (Free !):

 

We periodically host support group meetings at our center, for the following sleep disorders:

bulletNarcolepsy   
bulletSleep apnea and/or CPAP users
bulletRestless Legs Syndrome/ Periodic Limb Movement Disorder
bulletInsomnia
bulletSleep walking and night terrors

The goal of these meetings is to present a brief overview of current information on the diagnosis and treatment of these disorders, to provide the opportunity of meeting other people with the same disorder, and the opportunity of asking questions of the sleep specialist.   

Meetings are held at our center,
Aurora CO.  There is no charge for support group meetings, but advance reservations must be made by calling (303) 671-0977 before the day of the meeting.  Once you call to register for the support group list,  we will contact you in the event of a meeting being held for your sleep disorder.

THERE ARE CURRENTLY NO MEETINGS SCHEDULED.  When one is scheduled, it will be posted here.

ONCE AT LEAST 20 INDIVIDUALS HAVE REGISTERED FOR ANY GIVEN SLEEP DISORDER, WE WILL SCHEDULE  A MEETING FOR THAT SLEEP DISORDER GROUP AND CONTACT ALL PARTIES ON THE REGISTRY.

 


SEMINARS:

 

1.  LOCAL (greater metro Denver area) SEMINARS are given on the topic of any of the sleep disorders listed below.  Local seminars will be scheduled and held at the Sleep-Alertness Disorders Center,  1390 S. Potomac St. Ste. 110 Aurora CO, when 15 people call to register interest regarding a particular sleep disorder seminar.  

Seminar objectives:  Recognizing symptoms and the development of the sleep disorder being presented in the seminar, learning about evaluation, current treatments and treatment outcomes for the disorder.  Question & Answer period with the sleep specialist.  Hand-out of printed materials.    Seminar Fee: $10 per person.

2. NON-LOCAL SEMINARS or seminars to be held at your place of business or other site:

Seminars can be given on most  topics related to sleep and sleep disorders.  Seminars can be arranged by calling our center at  (303) 671-0977 (or in writing:  Sleep-Alertness Disorders Center, 1390 S. Potomac St., Suite. 110, Aurora CO 80012).  An Honorarium fee is charged to cover Dr. Scrima's time and travel expenses.
